About Me

Hi! I'm Pundus, a 3D and VFX artist from Singapore.I have skills and have worked on basic 3D modelling, animation, and VFX compositing projects.I'm currently working on the series Ex Astris: The Ships of Star Trek Online.

    Artwork

    Star Trek 3D Models

Over the years, I've honed my 3D modelling skills by working on Star Trek starship models for my own enjoyment. I've let others purchase those models for their own use, some of which has been showcased here. You can view them all in my store below, or on my Sketchfab page.

    Star Trek: New Horizons

A mod for the 4X strategy game Stellaris by Paradox Interactive, the mod authors have used several of my starship models in it.Here's an example of some of the ships as implemented into the game engine.

    Star Trek: Breathless

A Star Trek fanart series of by user PUFFINSTUDIOS, my models have been used as the basis for starship kitbashes in some of his work. Here's a selection of some of the artwork made using my models.

    Star Trek: New Civilizations

Yet another mod for the same 4X strategy game, Stellaris by Paradox Interactive, this spinoff mod also uses models of mine in game. Here's an example of some of the ships as implemented into the game engine.

    Star Trek: Bridge Commander Modding

Even though Star Trek: Bridge Commander, published by Activision Blizzard, was released over two decades ago in 2002, it still has a dedicated modding community. Some modders have implmented my models of ships from newly aired series into the classic game.

    ART COLLABORATIONS

Unfortunately, I can't do everything myself, but here's some collaborations I've done with others!

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Titan Dock Concept Art

During the production of Star Trek: Picard's third season, Dave Blass, the show's production designer, noticed my fanart and hired me to work on the show. This led to the creation of the piece of concept art on the left. Rendered, composited and lit by me, then painted over by John Eaves. It was an honor working with a noted production designer and concept artist respectively. You can find out more about the piece here! And more specifics about the technical side of the work on my ArtStation here!

    Thomas Marrone's Birthday Gift 2022

For our mutual good friend Thomas Marrone's birthday, Jazzi "foodcu_be" and I created a piece of artwork for him. Based on early launch era artwork of Star Trek Online's "phaser guy", she drew Thomas's in-game self-insert character wielding the phaser while I did the compositing and rendered the ships!

    Thomas Marrone's Christmas Gift 2022

After the success of our first collab, I once again asked Jazzi "foodcu_be" to collaborate with me on another gift for our friend. She drew the chibi version of Captain Marrone on a captain's chair, while I rendered the Pathfinder hauling presents in a tractor beam - the Pathfinder being a ship Thomas had designed for Star Trek Online - and composited the drawing onto it!

    Starship Renders

Starship renders I've made over the past few years. Most of these renders here use models that I've built myself, but some also feature models from other sources. For a complete collection of all of the renders I've made, you can check out my DeviantArt page.

Inspired by Dave Blass's work for Star Trek: Picard, for the Khitomer-Class Ex Astris, I included individual renders for some of the named starships in the wide fleet shots. Below is a slideshow of some of them.

    Ex Astris Work

In 2022 I was approached by Thomas Marrone, Art Director for Star Trek Online to help create animations for the then in-production tie in series Ex Astris: The Ships of Star Trek Online. Since then, I've contributed animation work to every episode beginning with the one on the Yorktown-Class. Here are animation reels showing the work I did for the episodes.

Star Trek Digital 3D Model Files

Over the years, I've honed my 3D modelling skills by working on Star Trek starship models for my own enjoyment. You can purchase those I've completed here. These models might not be the best and are all relatively low-poly, but they've seen use in others' fanart, Star Trek game mods, and more.

Unless otherwise stated, all models come in the native Blender file format and have been set up with materials for use in Eevee for rendering. Textures are 4096x4096 in the PBR Metal/Rough format. An FBX export is also included.

You can also get the models from my Ko-fi shop for slightly cheaper as I don't have fees from purchases there!

For ease of navigation, the ship models have been split by series, and you can click on the buttons below to view models for that respective series.
